It can be implemented with any programming language, by default it's C# (.net required)Plugin manager for plugins developed with new API addedFeature: popup dock when mouse is over when dock is not over all windowsNew application icons are added automatically if they are not in the dock yet. As docks go, XWindows Dock is fairly basic, but entirely functional. XWindows Dock does exactly what it says it will though, so if you like its style, go right ahead. There’s nothing really wrong with XWindows Dock, and some of you might even appreciate the minimalism of the application.During testing, however, it seemed a little too basic and inflexible, especially when compared to other, fancier docks like Nexus. One nice feature, however, is Container, which allows you to place any folder on the dock. When you click, you’ll get an easy-to-view fan of the items that folder contains. This dock app isn’t the most visually attractive around.Beyond size and location on your screen, it can’t really be modified without downloading extra modules. The basic app contains icons for My Computer and the Recycle Bin, but you’ll be able to simply drag and drop anything else you want. For certain features, however, such as the Gmail checker, you’ll need to download the separate XWindows Dock plug-in manager. XWindows Dock is an easy to use, minimal dock bar that will give you instant access to your most frequently-used apps. I know the Mac version allows this and you can even put it on a different screen so I'm confused. If you’re looking for a little Mac-like functionality on your Windows PC, give XWindows Dock a try. Even if I had to extend my Archicad window to a second screen to be able to use both views properly it would be better than having to switch between tabs constantly. ![]() I could have the 3d window small up in the corner as a reference that updates when I click on it as opposed to having to use the snip tool to capture the 3d and needing to create a new one each time I change something. ![]() So this idea that Windows doesn't allow this doesn't seem to be correct with the current version of windows.Īlso even if I can't drag the tab outside the boundaries of the main Archicad window I feel it should still be possible to have 2 or 3 tabs visible at the same time (i.e: 3d window and floor plan). ![]() A big one is though that I have read that Revit which though a little different then Archicad serves the same function does allow you to move different tabs with different views out of the main Revit window onto a different monitor without having to stretch the main window onto the other screen. Also software like Chrome allows you to put different tabs wherever you want. I am wondering why it is not possible to undock a tab on the windows version of Archicad.įrom what I've read there is a limitation in windows that windows can't leave the boundary of the main window? However the tool pallets can for some reason (I always have my organizer and a few other pallets on a second screen).
